St. Philip’s College’s Annual Veterans Fair

St. Philip’s College (SPC) is proud to announce its eighth annual Texas Veterans Fair, a free event dedicated to honoring and supporting U.S. Armed Forces members, veterans, and their families. This year’s fair, co-sponsored by State Rep. Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, District 120, will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach and Transition Center, located at 202 Connelly St. Veterans, retirees, and their families will have access to services, resources, information, and employment opportunities. Veterans can also benefit from connecting with professionals who understand service-related challenges, including our San Antonio, TX veterans disability lawyer team.

The event will feature the presentation of the Veteran Education Excellence Recognition Award (V.E.E.R.A.) to all five Alamo Colleges, along with remarks from Texas Veterans Commission Chairwoman Laura Koerner. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost. Attendees can connect with numerous veteran service organizations, including the American GI Forum, Soldiers’ Angels, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Family Endeavors, and the South Texas Blinded Veterans Association. Additionally, more than 30 employers and recruiting organizations, such as Amazon Staffing, JBSA 502nd ENG GRP, Texas Workforce Commission, and US Customs Border Protection, will be present to share career opportunities and veteran resources.

The Texas Veterans Fair is designed to assist service members in accessing benefits, education, employment, and community support. The event demonstrates SPC’s ongoing commitment to the military and veteran community in San Antonio, fostering an environment where veterans can gain critical resources to thrive post-service. For those dealing with disability claims or seeking legal guidance regarding VA benefits, this event serves as a timely reminder of the resources available to support them.
